About this artwork

This imaginative collage redefines nostalgia with a cosmic twist. A retro-style cafeteria scene unfolds beneath a surreal outer-space sky, complete with planets, moons, and futuristic architecture. The contrast between the ordinary—people at a diner—and the extraordinary universe above creates a sense of wonder and irony.

The teal, gold, and deep navy palette evokes a mid-century sci-fi aesthetic, blending vintage Americana with interstellar fantasy. It’s both humorous and thought-provoking—a celebration of curiosity and the unknown.
