Choosing your artworkAbout this artwork
This photograph is a monochromatic depiction of Philadelphia's bustling streets leading up to the iconic City Hall, captured at night. The long exposure creates light trails from the moving traffic, adding a dynamic energy to the scene. The grandiose architecture of City Hall, with its intricate masonry and towering presence, is illuminated against the night sky, serving as a focal point amidst the urban landscape. The streetlights and building facades cast bright spots and deep shadows, enhancing the image's depth and the city's vibrant nocturnal pulse.
